Remo 15" X 6" Kids Rain Forest Konga
The Heart Of The Afro-Cuban Rhythm Section, The Konga (Kon-Gah) Drum Is One Of The Most Versatile Of All The Kids Percussion Instruments. It Is Played Using A Variety Of Hand Postions And Techniques To Achieve Open (Long), Closed (Short), And Slap (Accented) Sounds. Traditionally, These Sounds Are Combined To Form Rhythmic Patterns For Dance Styles Such As The Rumba, Mambo, And Cha-Cha.
One Method Of Playing That Is Used To Create These Authentic Sounds And Rhythms Is The Palm-Finger Playing Style In Which A Series Of Double Notes Are Played By Rocking Each Hand Back And Forth Between The Palm And The Finger Tips.
